A white little car
Took a pair of lovers
Quick and silent
To cozy green covers
It let them stretch and twist
Heard them coo and whisper
In its soft bucket seats
They uttered vows of care
It watched them read poems
And kiss so very often
Seeped in dew of love
Move in eager commotion
The car stood there
In the wet chilly cold
While the couple spent hours
In each other's fold
The car gave the lovers
Safety space and ease
While it made the sacrifice
And drained its batteries!
